1 Q: We need a 220V to 12V step down transformer. What specifications will be needed for production?
A: Please provide the following key parameters, the more detailed the better:
Input Voltage (Primary Voltage): For example, AC 220V. Is there an allowable fluctuation range (e.g. ±10%)?
Output Voltage and Current (Secondary Voltage & Current): For example, AC 12V, what current (A) or power (VA/W) is needed? If there are multiple output groups, please list the voltage current of each group.
Rated Power (Rated Power): The unit is VA (volt-ampere) or W (watt). This is one the most important parameters, determining the transformer's load-carrying capacity.
Frequency (Frequency): 50Hz or 60Hz?
Construction (Construction): Is it toroidal, EI type (frame-type), or R-type? Is there a special installation method (such vertical, horizontal, with a base, with a cover)?
Insulation Grade (Insulation Class): For example, Class A (105°C), Class (120°C), Class B (130°C), which is related to the transformer's heat resistance and lifespan.
 
2. Q: What is the difference between the power unit VA and W? How should I choose?
A: For purely resistive loads (such light bulbs, heating tubes), VA ≈ W. For inductive or capacitive loads (such as motors, appliances), W (real power) < VA ( power). To ensure safety, please select according to the apparent power (VA) of the load and leave a margin of 20%-30%. For example, 100W motor, it is recommended to choose a transformer of 120VA-150VA.

A: Yes, you can specify the model needs a shielding layer. The shielding layer (usually a layer of copper foil) is located between the primary and secondary coils and is grounded, which can effectively suppress high- interference from the primary to the secondary, enhancing the equipment's ability to resist electromagnetic interference (EMI), which is essential for audio equipment and measuring instruments

Testing: Conduct the following tests at 100% before leaving the factory: Dielectric strength test (Hi-Pot Test, such AC 3000V between primary and secondary), inter-winding test, load test, no-load current test, etc., and provide test reports.
II. Price and Delivery
7. Q: What is the price and what is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A:Transformers are usually custom-made products, and the price and MOQ depend on your specific specifications and quantity.
Price factors: The higher the power, the higher the material requirements such as copper, silicon steel sheet prices), and the more complex the process (such as Toroidal, shielded), the higher the unit price.
MOQ For standard specifications, the MOQ may be lower (such as 100pcs). For fully custom specifications, since it requires mold opening (such as EI core mold) and sampling, the MOQ will be higher (such as 500-1000pcs). The larger the quantity, the lower the price.
8. Q: How long does the delivery take?
A: The delivery time also depends on the degree of customization and the quantity.
Standard products/small: Usually 10-15 working days.
New customization (sample confirmation required): It takes an additional 5-7 days for sample making and confirmation.
Large orders: It may take 15-30 days.
Please note that sharp fluctuations in raw material prices may also affect the delivery time.
